How Did I Not Know That Yo-Yo Crowds Are As Wild As They Come
Before we get started here, let me just say that this was quite possibly the swaggiest Yo-Yo move I’ve ever seen in my life.
I’ve seen at least 3 or 4 yo-yo moves in my life and this was by far the sweetest. That right there is a boy who is yoing with confidence. You can’t teach that. It’s not in any yo-yo handbook. They don’t teach that at yo-yo school. It’s having a ginormous set of balls hanging between your legs and treating that stage like your bitch. A move like that deserves an ovation fit for a King walking amongst his people. And by god did this yo-yo crowd deliver.
The greatest crowd in any setting of all time has always been black people at a dunk contest. They kill it as far as the hootin’ and hollerin’ goes. You want a crowd that is going to give you an unbridled amount of passion and energy in their applause? Black people at a dunk contest take the #1, 2 and 3 spots. With that being said, I think the yo-yo crowd is giving everybody a run for their money for #4 on that list. And that’s just from the noise they were making. We didn’t even get a chance to see any of the physical reactions. If these people are jumping out of their seats every time Evan Nagao here breaks out some silky smooth trick on the strings, then I’m officially declaring Yo-Yo contests to be on the “Must Attend At Least Once In Your Life” list. Kid brought the heat on the string. Crowd brought the heat with the nose. All I’m saying is that if there’s a Yo-Yo Festival somewhere in the Greater Philadelphia Area in the near future, count me the fuck in.
